Guardians of the West Harbour

We have been working with Jessica our West Harbour Artist in residence. We are sea spirits, we used our haiku poems to turn into dance. Here are some photos. 

Kiwiana

We are studying culture this term. Today we looked at what things made New Zealand special and what things were unique to our awesome country. We then choose some of those things to sketch. Here are some pictures. You will also notice us working in some different places. I especially liked the kiwi ingenuity that some boys showed when setting  a spot on the back bank. DNI fitness course

We really enjoyed the fitness course. We liked that you could race each other and that it had different obstacles. Here are some photos.

DNI trip on Friday morning

The year 6 students were lucky enough to go to DNI on Friday morning and do some art with MRs Holt. We had fun making tea cups or boats. Here are some photos. Enjoy :)

You find a leprechaun and get him to tell you where a rainbow is so you get a plane above the rainbow and you jump off it and slide down the rainbow onto the fridge only to find rainbows aren't solid. Isabel

The pig could shoot himself out of a cannon aiming at the cookies. Sam

Get a car and drive into the fridge and then eat the remains of the cookies. Oscar

Get a battering ram and knock over the fridge. Thomas

Open the bottom draw of the fridge halfway and the top all the way. But the door slams shut and you get stuck in the fridge. You're doomed!!!!! Poppy

A wolf scares the pig so the pig jumps high and gets the cookies. Mira

Put a lasso around the cookie jar and pull it to the ground. Charis

Cut it down short with a chainsaw.

Use bricks as stairs and jump on the cookie jar.

Use a water blaster and blast it off the fridge. Charis

Fly to the moon, then bungee jump off the moon and grab cookies on the way down. Amrit

Call the local toy army and get them to charge down the fridge.

Crash a plane onto the fridge. Arthur

You could get a parachute and glide to get the cookies. Eva

Get some wooden stilts and jump up to get the cookies. Elyse

Build a tower out of Lego to climb up on to get the cookies. Josh

Use fridge magnets to rock climb up the side of the fridge to get the cookies. Poppy

Throw a rock at the cookie jar. Ben

Hire a helicopter and hover over the fridge and jump out and get the cookie jar.

Get a race car and make it a transformer and then jump off the transformer and land on top of the cookies then grab them and open the jar. Jaimin

Hop in the helicopter and teleport on top. Then grab the cookies. Marshall

The pig could drill holes in the back of the fridge to use as climbing holes to get to the top of the fridge.

Make a building of Lego and jump off. Josh

Eat heaps of other cookies and ones on the fridge will be so green with envy that they will jump straight down to you. Sophie B

Shoot the fridge with a rocket launcher. After… the pig misses the fridge and comes back and hits him. Tane

The pig drinks a super strength potion and tries to throw a car at the fridge, but when he picks up the car, his potion runs out and the car crushes him. Tane
